Dublin City Council has started the planning and design of the Point Pedestrian and Cycle Bridge and Tom Clarke Bridge Widening Project. This project is part of the Dublin City Council (DCC) Active Travel Network and will be funded by the National Transport Authority (NTA) and DCC.

The proposed bridge is a cycling and pedestrian bridge located directly adjacent to the west of the existing Tom Clarke Bridge in Ringsend. The bridge is approximately 150m in length, spanning from North Wall Quay to Ringsend on the southside of the River Liffey.

 

Why your views matter

The DCC Active Travel Programme Office are carrying out this non-statutory public consultation from the 11th of June to the 12th July 2024. The purpose of the consultation is to inform the public of key features of the Point Pedestrian and Cycle Bridge and Tom Clarke Bridge Widening Project and to gather any comments or observations.

If you have particular suggestions or comments on the proposals we would welcome your views. Submissions may be made by one of the following methods:

    Members of the community are invited to drop in to view the project proposals and meet the design team at the Ringsend & Irishtown Community Centre, 22 Thorncastle St, Dublin 4, D04 Y6V3 on the 18th of June 2024 from 4-7pm and in the Seán O’Casey Community Centre, 18-26 St Mary’s Rd, Dublin, D03 AY74 from 4-7pm on the 19th of June. All are welcome.
