Extinguishment of the public right of way over the laneway to the rear of houses No. 2 No.4 Nottingham Street, Dublin 1

Overview

A request has been submitted to the Central Area Office by a resident and a business owner who back onto the laneway to the rear of No.2 & No.4 Nottingham Street, Dublin 1. The reason for this extinguishment is due to antisocial behaviour, dumping, toilet use and drug related activities. The laneway is commonly used by individuals engaging in drug use. Consequently, drug paraphernalia is often discarded, resulting in hazardous materials scattered throughout the laneway. These gatherings make it unsafe for Kelly’s Hardware and residents to use the rear access to their properties. The extent of this proposed extinguishment is shown outlined in red on the attached map, SM 2022-0533.
