Belmont Avenue - Restricted Access Trial
Overview
Dublin City Council have implemented a traffic control and calming scheme on Belmont Avenue. The interim scheme was implemented on the weekend of 19th to 21st of August 2022 in advance of the school reopening period of September. This essentially included the provision of a temporary traffic island and delineation devices and signage to direct traffic and prevent vehicles and cyclists turning right from the south entering Belmont Avenue from Sandford Road.
The Council’s Traffic & Road Safety Section is undertaking a Non-Statutory Public Consultation for the above scheme and welcomes all submissions and observations on the scheme as proposed. The scheme is being prepared in accordance with Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994.
Why your views matter
The Council are seeking views from the public to help inform the schemes effectiveness. A Non-Statutory Public Consultation is being held on the scheme from Wednesday the 22nd of February 2023 until Wednesday the 8th of March 2023.
