Library Square, Ringsend

Overview

The Ringsend Irishtown Local Environment Improvement Plan (LEIP) was adopted at the June 2017 South East Area Committee meeting.

Four main focus areas were identified while making the plan: 1. Library Square, 2. Ringsend Park, 3. Cambridge Road and 4. Improving links.

It is now proposed to prepare a planning application under Part 8 of the Planning and Development Regulations, 2001, for the redesign of Library Square, Ringsend. To this end Mitchell & Associates, Landscape Architects, have been selected to prepare a design and bring the project to Part 8 stage in 2019.

A draft design for Library Square was brought to a public meeting in the Ringsend Irishtown Community Centre on Thursday 21^st March 2019 and a copy of this draft design is now available on line.

Dublin City Council will consider submissions made by any person in relation to the draft design by Friday 19^th April 2019.  Submissions can be made by email to southeast@dublincity.ie or in writing to:
