Ballymun Local Area Plan
Overview
A draft Local Area Plan (LAP) has been prepared by Dublin City Council for Ballymun. The implementation of the LAP will help safeguard the significant investment made in the area to date and ensure that the regeneration is brought to a successful conclusion.
The LAP will review the progress made in implementing the aims and objectives of the Ballymun Masterplan and provide an updated strategy for the future development and management of the area to meet the needs of the existing and future population.
Information sessions will be held to outline the main objectives of the plan and take input.
Why your views matter
Members of Dublin City Council staff will be available in Ballymun Civic Centre on the following dates to discuss and explain the process for preparing a local area plan and to assist with any queries in relation to the plan area:
Dates: Thursday 6th April: 17.30 - 19.30
Saturday 22nd April: 10.30 - 12.30
Wednesday 26th April: 10.00 - 12.00
Venue: Ballymun Civic Centre (Atrium), Main Street, Ballymun, Dublin 9.
What happens next
The Local Area Plan is open to public consultation until 17th May 2017. All submissions will then be reviewed and changes made to the Plan which will then come before the Local Area Committee and full City Council before the amended plan is adopted into policy.
