Extinguishment of Public Right of Way over a walkway/desire lines and carpark on the site known as Dominick Street (West) The site contains now void properties 109-198 Dominick Street Lower, Dublin 1
Overview
A request has been submitted to the Central Area Office by Dublin City Council’s Housing Department, to have the public right of way extinguished over the laneway over a walkway/desire lines and carpark from 109-198 Dominick Street Lower and all areas contained within the site. The site contains the now void properties 109-198 Dominick Street Lower, Dublin 1. The reason for this extinguishment is due to the adverse antisocial behaviour, illegal parking and upcoming re-development of this site.
The site will be secured by hoarding at the front of the flat complex facing onto the Luas stop, the rear of the complex will be secured by steel fencing. It is intended that this extinguishment will facilitate the securing of the area from any further acts of antisocial behaviour and protect the public from any adverse effects from the vacant site. The security measures to secure the site will remain in situe for the duration of the re-development of 109-198 Dominick Street Lower Dublin 1. The extent of this proposed extinguishment is shown outlined in red on the attached map, SM 2023-0331.
