The Business of Cycling - Session Registration

Closed 25 Mar 2022

Opened 10 Mar 2022

Dublin City's Cycling Symposium to support the city's transition in becoming a cycling city takes place from 23rd - 25th March.

Dublin is hosting this symposium as part of the Civitas Handshake project, which brings together 13 cities across Europe to learn from each other by sharing experience, expertise and best practice on all things cycling. As Dublin’s mentor in the project, Amsterdam will bring a contingent of experts to the symposium to support Dublin on areas including infrastructure design, as well as working with the media, businesses, politicians and local communities on how to bring people along in creating a cycling city. The symposium gives us an opportunity to learn from one of the world leaders about their transition to become a cycling city, and how they overcame many of the challenges and obstacles that we face in Dublin today.

The symposium includes sessions for City Councillors, Dublin City Council staff teams, the media, businesses, stakeholders and members of the public.

The Business of Cycling session, hosted by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Dublin Chamber of Commerce, considers how cycling can be good for business. We hear about the cycling experience from a Dutch business perspective, as well as from Dublin-based businesses about how e-cargobikes are supporting their work.
