Ballyfermot People's Park

Closed 14 Aug 2020

Opened 30 Jun 2020

Dublin City Council Parks, Biodiversity and Landscape Services wishes to refurbish this open space adjacent to the Civic Centre into a new improved park for Ballyfermot.

The site consists of a large grassed area, with scattered semi-mature trees, bounded to the north and west by low rise residential streets, to the east by the Civic Centre and to the south by Ballyfermot road.

The proposed site is currently disconnected physically from the civic centre by a line of trees between the centre and the site and limited pedestrian access from the building into the eastern end of the park site.

Following 8 months of onsite conversations and two consultation events, Dublin City Council Parks, Biodiversity and Landscape Services have developed a design that responds to ideas put forward by local residents to create The People’s Park, Ballyfermot on the greenspace beside the Civic Centre.

Why we are consulting

We want to get your feedback

Due to the Covid-19 Restrictions, we are unable to hold another public meeting to present the updated design proposals and get feedback. A solution is to consult on line and we will also display the design proposal boards on the boundary railings of the park adjacent to the Ballyfermot Civic Centre.

Please give your feedback using the online survey on this webpage or alternatively drop your feedback note in the comment box located in the foyer of the Ballyfermot Civic Centre.
